For candidates who have originally allotted with Private Car Combined Test or Part C Test at Shek Yam Driving Test Centre and subsequently would like to apply for postponement of driving test, and if the newly scheduled test is on 1 August 2024 or after once the application is approved, he / she will be reassigned with an end-of-list appointment of relevant test at Pui Ching Road Driving Test Centre.If you are under 18 years old, you are required to complete classroom DE at a licensed DT school before you can get your instruction permit.
Important Notice 3 : To facilitate the planned construction works in the district, the Shek Yam Driving Test Centre will be temporarily suspended from 1 August 2024 until further notice. Important Notice 2 : In order to flexibly deploy resources to meet the driving test demand for Private Car in the Kowloon and the New Territories Region, from 2 January 2024, the Wing Hau Street Driving Test Centre will be used to conduct the driving tests of Private Car (Combined Tests, Intermediate Tests, Road Tests) and Light Goods Vehicle (Combined Tests, Intermediate Tests, Road Tests). Candidates taking the Part A Test (Written Test) or the Taxi Written Test should be conversant with the relevant test materials before taking the test. The new arrangement will apply to candidates who are scheduled to take the Part A Test (Written Test) and the Taxi Written Test on and after 6 November 2023. Important Notice 1: From 25 September 2023, the latest updates in road traffic related legislation, driving rules and information will be included in the scope of Part A Test (Written Test) and Taxi Written Test.
